Meet Beatrix von Pinkelstein, the misunderstood socialite who once scandalized all of Chicago by showing up to a cotillion with horns, a razor-sharp nose, and an unsettling ability to predict the future of everyone’s houseplants.
Born to a family of minor nobility and major weirdos, Beatrix was rumored to have been switched at birth with a lesser demon from the Fourth Ring of Sass. She was known for her cutting wit, her exquisite fashion sense, and a sneezing fit that once opened a hellmouth in Waukegan.
Despite her infernal features, she was very polite, always RSVP’d, and never once set fire to the hors d’oeuvres—except that one time, but they were deviled eggs, and frankly, that was just poetic.
